The terms of being here.

Kurashi is a community held together by introductions. These terms say what we owe you, what we ask of you, and — just as plainly — the things we do not do and will not promise.

Version 2026-08-v1 · in effect from 2 August 2026

01Who these terms are with

Kurashi, operated from India by its founder, and you. By joining, or by using any part of the site or app, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

02Getting in

Kurashi opens by introduction. You need an unused invitation code from a member, and that member is then asked to confirm you are who you say you are. After that, we say hello ourselves before your membership is active.

  • A code may be used once and lapses thirty days after it is issued.
  • Approval is a judgement, not a formality — we may decline without giving reasons, and vouching for someone who turns out not to belong here reflects on the member who vouched.
  • One account per person. The account is yours and is not to be shared or transferred.

03Being here

The board, the digest and the marketplace are a neighbourhood, not a platform. What we ask is what any neighbourhood asks:

  • Write as yourself, under the name your neighbours know you by.
  • Do not post another member's contact details, photograph, or unit number — not even your own neighbour's, and not even helpfully.
  • No advertising, recruiting, soliciting, or scraping. No harassment, and nothing unlawful in India.
  • What you write stays yours. By posting it you allow us to show it to other members inside Kurashi — nothing more, and not outside.

If a member makes this a worse place to live, we will remove them. We would rather be small than tolerant of that.

04Membership and money

Kurashi is not charging anyone today. There is no payment method connected and nothing will be billed until membership opens, at which point you will be asked before any payment is taken.

When it opens, membership will be ₹1,500 a month, billed monthly in Indian rupees. You may cancel at any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for; we do not refund part of a month already begun. If we ever stop the service, we refund the unused remainder.

Payments, when they begin, will be handled by a licensed Indian payment gateway. We never see or store your card or bank details.

05The marketplace is between neighbours

Listings are posted by members and sold by members. Kurashi vets nobody here and guarantees nothing — not the item, not its condition, not the person. Look at the thing, meet the person, judge for yourself, as you would with any neighbour.

Money changes hands directly between the two of you. We take no commission, hold no funds, and are not a party to the sale.

06What we do not promise

  • That the service is uninterrupted. It is a small operation and it will sometimes be down.
  • That anything another member tells you is true, including anything about housing, schooling, or services.
  • That an introduction leads anywhere. We pass a message along; what happens next is between people.
  • Some features are shown before they are running, and are labelled as such where they appear. Take that label literally.

To the extent Indian law allows, our liability to you is limited to the membership fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

07Leaving

You may leave at any time and erase everything we hold, from your profile page or from /delete-account. We may also end a membership — for a breach of these terms, or because the community is better without it. If we do, we say so.

08Law, and reaching a person

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have jurisdiction. Questions, complaints and anything else:
